#AminakaWilmontGetMeASeat
This season we decided to run a competition for all the bloggers who have supported us and will continue to do so in future seasons.
We’re offering two seats at our Autumn / Winter 12-13 show to a ‘niche’ blogger who will be picked at random – all you have to do is tweet to #AminakaWilmontGetMeASeat and we’ll select the winners at random on the day.

Aminaka Wilmont will show case the brand’s 9th catwalk collection at LFW on Tuesday afternoon. The brand has decided it’s time to reach out to some of the niche bloggers who are both active and passionate about their blog and their readers, as well as the Aminaka Wilmont brand.
Maki Aminaka, Creative director Aminaka Wilmont says: “Social media experts generally recognise that many niche bloggers out there often have influential and powerful relationships with their audiences. They provide their followers with the most relevant information to them, and are in tune with what their readers are looking for. Whilst we love having key high profile bloggers at our shows, we also recognise the interest and influence of some of the smaller bloggers. The bloggers that also don’t often get the chance to attend our shows.”
As fashion weeks across the globe attract greater numbers of fashion bloggers keen to give their own perspective on the latest collections, designers and their PR teams are faced with the growing problem of who to target. The general consensus is that online and print journalists are both welcome but that the sheer numbers of bloggers is making the task of who to invite, increasingly challenging.
Fashion blogger Gwyneth Moore has built a loyal following for her blog www.cardifffashion.com, established over 2 years ago, the blog reaches audiences in South Wales as well as in the US and across the globe. Gwyneth says: “Aminaka Wilmont was my first LFW show 2 years ago at ON/OFF. I’ve been a fan of the brand ever since, but know it’s very hard for me to get access. I appreciate I’m one of an army of enthusiastic bloggers who would like to get a seat at the big name shows, but it’s just not practical.”
In an attempt to give some of the lesser-known bloggers a chance to see the show from a great spot, Aminaka Wilmont are launching a Twitter led campaign to encourage all fashion bloggers attending LFW to Tweet their interest pre-show, followed by a Tweet when they arrive at Somerset House on 21st February. Two bloggers attending the show will then be selected at random.
